A Note From Our Founder

My vision has always been to contribute to enabling small businesses to step up, show up and succeed.  By crafting bespoke learning initiatives like skills programmes, accellerators and incubators, I want to impart the importance of accountability and drive the ethos of transparency, fairness and integrity.

Compelled to make this vision a reality, I  harnessed my 17+ years’ experience in Human Resources, Enterprise and Supplier Development, Skills Development, Change Management, Labour Relations, and Compliance, and founded HR Solved in 2018 after 4 years of informal trading to provide my clients with tailor made solutions that can address their needs through learning and development and navigating change in the healthiest manner possible.

Our Focus

Based in South Africa, HR SOLVED PTY LTD imparts its expertise in Enterprise and Supplier Development and Strategic Human Resource Solutions at a multi-national level.  Our focus has primarily been on making a difference at the grass root level by helping SMMEs compartmentalise their needs, identifying their strengths, supporting their development areas and pivoting one off other industry-relevant mutually beneficial relationships by enhancing their reach and network.

Our diverse offerings in the space of Learning and Development solutions, transformation and B-BBEE, and, our in-house expertise and personal touch ensure that our projects are successful and relationships; beneficial.

Harnessing the unique traits of South African businesses, HR Solved uses our experience, skill, and expertise to build bespoke Enterprise and Supplier Development solutions that speak to the organisation’s strategic imperative, budget and direction. We deep dive into the drivers of the organisation and, through well thought out process plans and mapping, ringfence the areas ripe for change as well as those that may require a bit more time to mature. We put sustainable, workable and engaging programmes together, ensuring that transformation, empowerment, advancement and diversity get inculcated into the DNA of your organisation.

  • To transfer business development skills to Black Owned and community based EMEs and QSE’s;
  • To implement a project specific, outcome-based ESD- and Skills Development Plan with clear key performance indicators and measurable milestones;
  • To adequately document the progress in relation to skills transferred and supplier development; to monitor progress in line with key milestones and report to the Client on progress made.

Our team comprises of a formidable panel of subject matter experts with cumulatively just over 15 years of experience in Enterprise and Supplier Development initiatives and skills transfer programmes and cumulatively over 35 years of professional experience in project management, HR, engineering, skills development and transformation. Amongst us, we have lent our expertise to the engineering, construction and project management, building engineering and design, the full suite of Human Resource and Finance, wholesale and retail and manufacturing environments respectively and as such have accumulated expertise in the following areas:

HR SOLVED’S transformation framework is underpinned by our commitment to developing a positive and long-term legacy as a key component of all projects within which we lend our expertise to.  We therefore aim to align our strategic SD initiatives with government objectives in order to enhance, foster and sustain economic growth and thereby act as a catalyst for transformation.  It is with this in mind that we work proactively to support and create an environment conducive to social and economic empowerment and development by developing and fostering the entrepreneurial spirit of individuals.

To date we have worked on multiple mega-projects in a Project Lead capacity for Enterprise and Supplier Development.  Most of the project work has been undertaken in the built environment, and the primary focus being:

  • On-boarding of SMMEs on to projects and ensuring they understand the commercial terms and conditions of their engagement

 

  • Creation of community-based databases and ensuring that they are groomed to participate in the bidding process by providing community classes in the CCC’s in the region of our projects

 

  • Working hand in hand with SMMEs to ensure they employ best practise within the areas of recruitment of locals and assisting them with the creation of their HR templates (else non-compliance)

 

  • Ensuring SMMEs are coached to align with stakeholders by involving them in project stability forums and stakeholder engagement forums

 

  • Coaching the SMMEs on simple yet effective reporting techniques

 

  • Ensuring that SMMEs are briefed on the preparation of audits and what is expected of them

 

  • Training administration office of the SMMEs on administrative tasks whose output is integral to the delivery of the project

 

  • At the behest of the client, performing a skills gap analysis and needs analysis on the SMMEs to identify their skills gaps/training needs and developing training programmes specifically suited to these SMMEs. This forms part of the skills development portion of the project.

 

In addition, LED (Local Economic Development) has its roots grounded firmly around the B-BBEE legislation of South African and the empowerment of Historically Disadvantaged Individuals (HDI) and enterprises.  Designing and developing Enterprise and Supplier Development Solutions within a project space.

  • Job creation solutions sparked by project mobilisation (policies and procedures – as well as tracking – regarding this deliverable)
  • Procurement solutions sparked by project mobilisation (policies and procedures – as well as tracking – regarding this deliverable)
  • B-BBEE and scorecard readiness
  • Management and reporting of E&SD targets as well as development and implementation of B-BBEE improvement plan
